Terms of Service

YKI Prep (https://www.ykiprep.com) is operated by Youssef Belhaj Amor, a private individual based in Finland. Contact: support@ykiprep.com.

By creating an account or buying access you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

YKI Prep provides practice for the National Certificate of Language Proficiency (YKI) intermediate test in Finnish: reading, writing and listening exercises, a timed exam simulation, and guidance on what your results mean. Exercises and feedback are generated by artificial intelligence.

This matters more than anything else on this page, so it is not buried at the bottom.

• We cannot promise you will pass. YKI Prep is practice material. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Finnish National Agency for Education, the University of Jyväskylä, or the Finnish Immigration Service, and it has no influence over your official result.
• AI feedback can be wrong. Scores, corrections and model answers are generated automatically. They are a useful guide, not an official assessment, and they will sometimes make mistakes. Do not treat a score here as a prediction of your real result.
• The result checker is guidance, not a decision. Our YKI Result Guidance tool reflects the published rules of the Finnish National Agency for Education, but only the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) decides citizenship applications, and requirements change. Always confirm on the official sites before applying.

You need an account to practise. Keep your password to yourself, use an email address you actually control, and let us know if you think someone else has access to your account. One account is for one person; please do not share logins.

The free tier gives you three exercises per day. Paid access is a one-time payment, not a subscription — nothing renews, and nothing is charged again automatically.

• Exam Ready — €24.90, giving full access for 90 days.
• Exam Ready+ — €39.90, giving full access for 365 days.

Access begins as soon as your payment succeeds and ends when the period above runs out. When it ends you keep your account, your history and the free tier.

The price shown at checkout is the total you pay. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added or itemised. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach us.

If you are not satisfied, email support@ykiprep.com within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason.

As a consumer in the EU you also have a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts. Because access is digital content supplied immediately, that statutory right can lapse once supply begins with your consent — but our 14-day refund promise above applies regardless, and nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law gives you.

• Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or to get around the free-tier limits.
• Do not submit unlawful content, other people's personal information, or anything you would not want processed by an AI provider.
• Exercises, feedback and the material on this site are for your own study. Please do not republish or resell them.

We may suspend an account that is being used in these ways. If we do that to a paid account without good reason, you get a pro-rata refund.

This is a small service run by one person. We aim to keep it running and working well, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability, and features may change or be withdrawn. If a paid feature disappears for good during your access period, contact us and we will put it right, by refund if nothing else fits.

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose. We are not liable for indirect losses — for example a failed exam, a delayed citizenship application, or lost time.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law.

You can stop using YKI Prep whenever you like and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@ykiprep.com. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the terms in force when you bought access are the ones that apply to that purchase.

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If something goes wrong, email us first — most things are fixable that way. If it is not, as a consumer you can take the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariita.fi) after first contacting the Consumer Advisory Service, or to the courts of your place of residence in Finland.
