YKI Result Guidance

Passing two subtests isn't enough on its own — for Finnish citizenship they have to be the right two. Enter your grades and find out where you stand.

Enter your subtest grades

Use the grades printed on your YKI certificate. Leave a subtest empty if you haven't taken it yet.

The three accepted combinations

For Finnish citizenship you need grade 3 or higher in two subtests, and only these pairings count.

1.Speaking + Writing
2.Listening comprehension + Writing
3.Reading comprehension + Speaking

Not accepted: reading + writing, listening + speaking, or reading + listening — even at grade 3 or higher.

Two certificates can be combined if together they form one of the accepted pairs.

Sit all four subtests. If you skip one, no certificate is issued at all.
